"Lovely hotel and Lovely staff great food the breakfast was delicious, great value the only criticism would be the lack of fresh air in the hotel perhaps opening a couple of doors or windows would help but that might just be me . Had a lovely sleep and enjoyable stay ."

"Very much a party/wedding venue. A very large hotel and hard to park anywhere near the entrance. Room was good and although wedding going on it was quiet in the room."

"I would have loved to have given a 10/10 but unfortunately whilst the property is great value for a stop over and breakfast was good, there is a drainage issue, and the bathrooms in the 2 rooms we booked smelt strongly of blocked drains as did the car parking area so clearly a problem that needs to be resolved. Apart from that everything was good."

"Excellent value for money. The hotel is part of the University which I didn't know when I booked hence there were a lot of international sports team staying there which made it interesting. Would definitely stay again."

"Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend."

"The room we had was dated and need refurbishing. Tired carpet, curtains etc. The bed was uncomfortable with a dip in the middle. Unfortunately on the final night I hardly slept due to scratching, biting sounds coming from the roof space above the bed, which I can only put down to rats or large vermin. The restaurant was ok for breakfast, continental or cooked. The staff were lovely. Parking was easy as well."

"Room and all areas of hotel were very clean, bed very comfortable and beautiful location by the river in a quiet area. Room had everything you’d need. The hotel and room in particular does need a little TLC. Furniture old and worn, carpet in room needed replacing and walls could do with a new lick of paint. Grounds have seen better days but have a lot of potential."

"The room was clean and quiet and location good. Issue was that the shower kept stopping in morning as others used their showers - not a great experience"
