"The room was very clean and the bed had lovely sheets. The shower was very good. However the main problem was there was no place to have breakfast, I was informed of this on my way to the hotel! As we came by train we could not go and find a place for breakfast. Staff told us there was a cafe where we could eat 2 minutes up the road, it was not a cafe but a service station that sold hot pies. "Comfy bed, nice big shower, welcoming and helpful staff. For a short cheap night stay after a wedding, it was everything I needed."

"Bar was OK However there was no heating in my room Bed was great Shower was Terrible!! I’m a plumber. I couldn’t get the shower to work, only a dribble The only requirements I have when working away are a reasonable bed and a reasonable shower, is that to much to ask for?"

"Ok but do NOT book in the summer!! Only one room has air con and the heated towel rail can not be turned off! Even with the fuse removed (owner advised we remove). This made the bathroom ridiculous hot which filtered through to the room. Room wasn’t the cleanest, stains up the walls from coffee (I hope) Aircon in all rooms would make it much more comfortable and the rest could be overlooked. Staff were fantastic though."

It was the hottest night of the year and none of the windows in the room would stay open – the window framed looked rotten and locks didn’t work.The room was boiling and the fan was plugged right over the other side of the room and so was useless. The plug sockets either side of the bed were not UK standard so I couldn’t...

"The hotel was absolutely perfect for me and I cannot fault it! Great location with added bonus of Toby Carvery close by and M and S garage shop so you can’t ask for more 😁 The accommodation was clean and tidy everywhere, the staff were all lovely, very helpful and friendly Breakfast was included in the booking so a great deal. Parking free and next to hotel"
