Nice room in a good location
The hotel bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with all the amenities required. The communal areas of the hotel, including the restraint are clean and tidy but dated. The hotel is well located for Onsen baths in Halone but the buss pass is required as the hotel is a reasonable walk from the town.

Hakone
Værelset var rummeligt og med en fantastisk udsigt over floden. Den japanske morgenmad var lækker - min søn var ikke helt enig, og den kunne også spises med udsigt over floden. Jeg ved ikke om det er også en nylig tyfon, men der lugtede fugtigt og gammelt på hotellet.

観光メインの方、学生の旅行にはいいかも、、
《良かった点》 川側の部屋からの景色は抜群によかった。 夕食・朝食共に美味しく量もしっかりとあった。 夕食時に缶ビールなどのアルコール類や缶ジュースが飲み放題付きで追加料金の心配がなく満足できた。 従業員の方々も丁寧で、最低限の関わりのみなので気楽に過ごせた。 系列の一の湯本館のお風呂に無料で入れる。 広めの駐車場があり、空いていれば無料で使用できた。 フェイスタオルとバスタオルが部屋に準備されていたが、フロントに声をかけたら新しいフェイスタオルを準備してくれた。 《気になった点》 小さなホテルなので、設備面は立派というわけではない。 客室に入った瞬間から湿気とカビの匂いがひどく、持ち合わせていたフレグランスで紛らわせるほどだった。 客室全体的に暗く、バスルームは片方電球が切れていて古さも相まって怖かった。バスルーム内のトイレに至ってはほぼ明かりがなく抵抗があった。 1階に大浴場があったが、川沿いのロケーションにも関わらず窓がなかった。3人入ったらきついくらいの広さで、温泉目当てでいく方には向かない。 一の湯本館は歩いて2分ほどの場所にあり、趣のある大浴場だったがシャワーがなく、桶で洗い流す必要がある。また徒歩2分だが歩道はなく、曲がりくねっている山道かつ交通量も多いので安全ではない。 お風呂に行く際に使える袋などの設置はなく、持参する必要がある。

Good location
The hotel is situated a walking distance from Hakone Yumoto. A taxi from the station takes 5 minutes and the bus stop is 1 minute walk from the hotel. The Japanese breakfast is amazing and the view from the restaurant is fantastic. Staff is nice too. Regarding the onsen, it is just a small one. The hotel needs maintenance but works fine for 2 or 3 nights.

ちょっと古いが趣のあるホテル
趣があり、コストパホーマンス的には大満足です。強羅より落ち着いている場所で、部屋にもよるのでしょうが、窓からの景色にも満足しています。あいにく雨に降られましたが、久しぶりに会う友人と語り合うには、文句のないホテルでした。

Quiet Comfort, but old school
Wow, lots of pluses and minuses. When we first arrived we took the Hakone Touzan Bus to our hotel and got dropped off the side of a very busy narrow road adjacent to the hotel. Precarious to say the least, the bus driver did stop traffic for us in one direction as we navigated across the road, opposite direction traffic stopped for us. Access to bus stop on subsequent trips around town made it a bit nerve racking walking along the road edge with cars streaming by with inches to spare. The hotel is old with smells of dampness, moldy scents. Hotel is definite in need for a renovation. When we entered our room, we were pleasantly surprised, amazing view of the adjacent river. Room was big for Japanese standards as compared to other big city hotels in Japan. Room was clean and decent, though toliet was mechanical, no bidet/shower type in other hotels across Japan. Onsen was good, not great. Onsen is generally public use until 10:00pm., after ten, it's first come first serve for private use. We normally fell asleep before then. If you stay here, take the option when making your reservation for the breakfast at least. Traditional Japanese breakfast with all the trimmings. We normally ate dinner in the Hakone town area so did not get to try the dinner menu at the hotel. I believe we missed out. We did order the taxi to pick us up during check out for our ride back to the Hakone-Yumoto Train station and avoid the roadway with our baggage.

客房服務不錯，進房前都已先開好暖房。交通較不便，不論是公車或電車的下車點，都須拖行李步行在極窄又急彎的馬路邊，非常危險，建議搭乘溫泉旅館的聯合接駁巴士（￥100）

環境老舊且清潔度有待加強不會再訪的一家旅館
抵達房間的時候，有點嚇到，因為從網站上看照片感覺滿新的，但實際狀況卻是設備老舊且清潔度有待加強，房間有股老舊不通風的味道，廁所也有一點味道，但房外的景色非常迷人，早餐也還不錯，有加回一點分數。

誰と行くかによる。
何よりいいのは客室からの景色。窓も大きく素晴らしかったです。またお部屋自体も広く、大きなソファでくつろげるのは良いと思いました。 「うーん」と思ったのは、設備の古さ。温泉が小さくて暗くて、うきうきはしません。アメニティも安っぽいです。またお部屋の風呂・トイレ・洗面所が広く一か所になっているのはいいのですが寒々しく、いかにも昭和！という感じです。 恋人同士でロマンティックな初旅行に……というのなら、あまり勧めません。家族旅行、もしくは付き合って長いカップルが気晴らしに……というのなら、いいホテルなのではないでしょうか。 因みに受付の人は当たりはずれがあると思いました。はずれの人は微妙に不愉快な気分になります。

部屋のお手洗いは微妙・・・
私はタクシーで行きましたが、駐車場もスペース数が少ないので車で行く方は要注意です。 夏場の滞在でしたが、チェックイン後に部屋（6F）に上がると、廊下は空調がなく非常に暑かったです。 部屋は造り、特にお手洗い／風呂は非常に古く、またなぜか出入り口と洗面台の間に段差がありつまづきそうになりました。 大浴場は洗い場が2人分。風呂も小さく窓もないので、温泉に入った感じではなくただの風呂に入った感じです。その後、タダで本館のお風呂に入れるということで行ってみましたが、こちらの方がベターでした。いずれもベストではありません。 今回は顧客を別の高級ホテルに泊め、予算の関係で私は徒歩で行ける範囲のこのホテルに泊まりましたが、ご家族で良い思い出を築かれたいのでしたら、避けた方がいいと思います。1泊で終わりましたが、2泊したいとはあまり思いません。

not worth the $
room is ok with beautiful river view, but the 1st floor/lobby/frontdesk is tiny, staff is not very helpful. Can't have dinner at 1F because we didn't make reservation first. we have no choice so just bought instant noodles and some snacks at the lobby for the evening. Next morning we were starving and get down for breakfast but was told there are no seats at the moment, staff asked us go back to room first and they will give us a call once available. We were all upset!

Hotel that is recommended
Second time to stay in this hotel. Value for money when compared to other hotels nearby. The room, particularly the bathroom, is a bit old. However, onsen facility is good. The breakfast and dinner are unexpectedly tasty. Would stay again if come to Hakone again.

Nice hotel and hot springs
Nice hotel close to bus stop but a bit unsafe walking up the hill and across road as hotel was on corner of a narrow road . The hot baths were lovely . The dinner and breakfast were included in our package and were amazing Japanese food cooked on hot pots.

Tired old hotel
Great view of the river from the bedroom. Easy to get into Hakone Yumoto by bus. Hotel staff were nice enough but sadly it was a very run down hotel. Uncomfortable bed, damp/stale smelling room and very tired decor. Wifi was patchy at best. It has loads of potential but not quite fulfilling it.

I'll start off with the positives. room was big and had a nice view of the river, and breakfast was delicious. hotel was relatively close to train station via bus (wouldn't recommend you walk from the station to hotel especially if you have luggage. it's a 30 min so walk with narrow roads) NEGATIVES: hotel is old needs to be renovated. our room had cracked bathroom floor tiles and dirty toilet.

Relaxing, fantastic nature
A lovely place in nature. A gorgeous view from the room and dining room . The onsen was relaxing. It was 100 yen to town on the orange shuttles. We had only breakfast included. My husband gobbled up his and mine included, but know it's traditional japanese, fish, miso soup, rice, tofu, little salads, pickled radishes, etc. No coffee, just teas and water. Not for me, but my husband said it was all good quality and cooking.

舒服的溫泉旅館
飯店離公車站很近，早晚餐都很好吃，晚餐需前一天預約，面河房間風景很美，飯店還準備了小點心和泡茶用具，非常推薦！

A window to Wow!
The magnificent view from the window alone is worth every penny, while brand new bed linens make huge plus point. There is a peculiar sewage smell when you flush the toilet, a telling sign of the hotel's age. The size of the public onsen onsite is barely larger than a jacuzzi, so you might want to explore other Ichinoyu hotels (there are 7 of them in Hakone!), which offer complimentary access at selected hours to the guests of Tounosawa Quatre Saisons. Breakfast & dinner are big feasts, and they have different menu for guests staying for consecutive nights. All in all, this is a crib I don't mind returning to for my next trip.

River view worth million dollars.
The over all hotel facilities are old, but it still remain clean. It has indoor Japanese hot spring for free. The free breakfast is Japanese style wich is rice, fish, hot spring cooked egg, vege, soup. My wife,myself and the 2 friends rent 2 rooms for 3 days stay. The river view is gorgeous. Running water can be a little noise. Location has a little distance from Hakone town center, but is not very far to walk. It has free indoor and outdoor parking spaces for up to 10 vehicles. We rent a car from airport, the distance is not an issue for us. The quality is good for the price. Room size is better than most of Japanese hotel. The size of in room bath is much better than most of Japanese hotels.

Beautiful mountain setting
Excellent traditional Japanese breakfast with a printed guide to the menu. Huge soaking tub in large bathroom. Hot water for tea was ready in our room when we checked in. Older building, popular with Japanese. Bus service next to hotel or a twenty minute walk to Hakone on a narrow road.

内容に比べ値段は割安で随所に経営努力の跡が見られ（夕食の飲み放題等）感心した。部屋からの早川の眺望は素晴らしく感銘を受けた。惜しむらくはトイレがウォッシュレットでなかったのと、温泉に窓がなく、狭かったのが難点。

Overpriced OK hotel
On the positive side the views from the hotel are lovely. The hotel is a no frills place - it is approx 1.5 km outside town and not easy to get to transportation. No options around for dining and the hotel staff are not flexible as to what you can get in B'fast or dinner. You can get a taxi from Hakone Yamoto station to get here - but have to wait for bus to go anywhere. With language barrier - not easy. Recommend to overseas travelers for a short visit to Hakone to stay in larger metro area at the edge of Lake Ashi or in Hakone-Yamote.

Nice budget hotel, close to transport
This hotel was good. We arrived a little early and we're able to get to our room - Something no other hotels have allowed on our travels. The room was very clean with an awesome view of the river. It was a little noisy, but we got used to it. Great tea making facilities too. The staff knew just enough English and gave great instructions on how to get to attractions. Our rate included breakfast so we went down in the morning. We were met with a very traditional Japanese breakfast of sun dried fish, fermented soy, rice, miso soup and a few other strange foods. If you're not into trying new things - don't bother with breakfast. On the topic of food, the hotel has a restaurant but to eat you need a reservation. We tried to eat here at one point but were turned away. A lot of food shops in Hakone were closed, but luckily we found some near the train station. Overall, would recommend staying here.

鄰近有個巴士站，叫上塔之澤站，拿著大行李在此站下車比較方便。 有時間的話，從酒店步行下山也不錯，不算太遠，約十至十五分鐘吧，沿途風景不錯的，有溪水小瀑布和橋等。 酒店職員懂英語，很好客，有禮 早餐不錯，還可對著外面的河景，寫意。 房間算大，挺清潔的，窗外看到河景，一流景色。房間內有隻蟑螂...大自然啊，能理解，不大問題。 酒店規定 在凌晨時分房間內不得洗澡，實際時間忘了，不重要吧，沒甚麼影響。 整體上，不錯的，值得推薦。

hakone hotel 4 seasons
Hotel could improve in refurbishing the builging and rooms. River view is amazing. Japanese breakfast good. If the hotel was in better conditions it would be very good.

Traditional Japanese experience
For a non Japanese person this offered a great Japanese experience. Riverside rooms offer great views, staff pleasant, breakfast authentic Japanese style and although it is a bit old and in need of a lick of paint the whole experience was great. Onsen small but OK. You also can go to the hot springs down the road free.
