"My wife and I spent 1 night on board of the grand pioneer 2 (February 25, 2026) . Perfect luxury room ( super clean, panoramic view of Ha Long Bay, fantastic food ( brunch with variety choices ) with à la carte menu for supper). Super nice staff. Very reasonable price including all meals with 2 land excursions. Strongly recommend. Pioneers cruise 3 will be launched within the next 18 months. Can’t wait to come back for a 2 nights cruise. Only one downside : February and March weather in Ha long...

"This is a very nice hotel in a very quiet area. Very easy walking or bike riding. The restaurant is very good, breakfast was perfect. Many options. Most of the guests are here either before or after a cruise. If you are looking for night life, this is not the place. Really nothing around except a few mini marts with restaurant attached. "

"The staff were excellent and very accommodating throughout the stay, in particular with our allergen requirements (gluten). The transfer process was easy to arrange but be aware that a member of staff will contact you via WhatsApp so you’ll need internet access a day or two beforehand.
