"Great location less than a mile away from the M5 and off the main road. Wonderful guy on reception who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and tidy. We decided to go into nearby Thornbury to grab something to eat. The bed was really comfy and we had our buffet breakfast in the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the hotel which kept us full for the drive home."

"We stayed as a small family during the Easter holidays, mainly to use the pool and spa facilities, with the hotel’s proximity to Gloucester Docks (around 2.5 km) also a key reason for booking.
Overall, the experience was mixed.
On arrival, our room had issues—most notably the shower. The bath–shower mixer tap diverter didn’t work, and water pressure was extremely poor, to the point even a bath was just a trickle. At £120 midweek (without breakfast), this didn’t feel good overall value.
That said, the sole reception staff member was excellent. After a couple of prompts, and while clearly managing the desk alone, he moved us to a suite around 9pm, resolving the issue before bedtime. He also explained the water system is quite old, which may account for the pressure.
The pool and spa were clean and functional—the sauna and steam room were up to temperature, and the gym well equipped—but overall felt dated and didn’t match expectations set by the price and photos.
We didn’t use the restaurant/bar on the evening or for breakfast- there were no evident menus beyond an A4 printout, and pricing felt high; it was empty whenever we walked past.
More generally, the hotel doesn’t match the polished Expedia photos. It looked dated, and even after the room change, the amenities and bedding were below expectations, particularly compared to Premier Inn.
In summary, excellent staff, but the property and value for money unfortunately fell short"
"As a retired commercial traveller I have never used Days Inn before, always used cheaper accommodation. Normally any thoughts has been turned down as being too expensive. Was very surprised at the price which was the best in the area. The bed and the pillows were of excellent quality and we had a very peaceful nights sleep. The guy that was at reception when we arrived was very helpful and friendly. Thank You.
"
"Friendly staff, welcomed me on arrival. I was early so waited in the lounge for check in, and as soon as my room was ready the staff member came to find me to tell me i could check in.
Swimming pool area was clean and a decent size. Room clean and comfortable "
"A great spot to enjoy some of the Cotswolds Way. Massive comfy bed and strong shower, although a bit let down by an old bath and cheap, clingy shower curtain. Nice bar area, friendly staff, and OK food. Good value breakfast, as you get continental plus a hot menu included. However, the full English I had was below par (definitely seemed pre-prepared rather than freshly made), but some of the other items looked better. "
"Pool and spa were brilliant good for kids not too busy and nice areas to relax.
Staff were really helpful at breakfast especially with the kids. It would have been nice to have a vegetarian sausages on the menu. Reception staff were amazing check in and checkout really efficient. Overall highly recommend and we would defo come back "
