Staff very friendly and welcoming, and the room was a good size and comfortable. They need to add some security to the corridor doors, to avoid entry by non-guests, which is the only reason I didn't give a 5 star. I'd gladly stay there again.

Room was basic but clean and functional. Very good room service with towels changed and everything cleaned each day (not the case in many hotels at this price point these days). A fridge and microwave in room plus plates and cutlery was a great time savers with two supermarkets nearly opposite for some meals. Shower was hot and clean. Would stay here again.

The gentleman on reception saturday night was very helpful and patient with us. We had a ground floor room out in the courtyard area, which was clean and tidy. The young man in the bar area saturday morning, took our luggage and stored it until later, as we were leaving for Cheltenham in the morning, so we didnt chrck in til 5pm… he was very nice too, and again helpful!

No onsite parking although 2 pay and display car parks directly behind the hotel. We were kindly upgraded to a family room which was spacious and had crockery, cutlery and glasses plus a microwave. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Less than 5 minute walk to restaurants and Gloucester Quays and 10 minute walk to the cathedral.
