"The property is a little tired but it's so easy to overlook that with the warmth of the welcome and fantastic service. Breakfast was all cooked fresh to order (with perfectly poached eggs!!) and the place was spotlessly clean. We'll definitely stay again when in Hastings with our dog."

"Great staff, good location and affiliated to next door Pub/Restaurant - Porters so really easy. Super breakfast too. A word of caution if you are more than 6feet tall and have room 7 on the top floor……you can’t stand up in there !"

"Had a lovely stay at Powdermills. This is a real hidden gem - beautiful grounds, comfortable room, friendly attentive staff, lovely food etc Decor a bit dated and tired, but understand due for a refresh soon. "

"A great 4 night stay. We ate at the hotel each evening, something different each night from the great menu. Mostly chosen for the surrounding area and despite a rather dire weather forecast we were out and about most days, and the spa and pool filled in one afternoon. Thanks to all the team for a great stay, we’ll miss the seats by the fire in the bar."

"The room was beautiful!! It’s recently been done apparently, and there was a lovely hamper and fridge with food and drinks included. The only issue was the shower wasn’t amazing and was hard to get to the right temperature. Otherwise staff super lovely to and great pub! Highley recommend - Lauren "
