"Interesting place. Seems to be in revival though. I hope it does well, However, the parking is on street only (not fond of that at all), the restaurant was closed (and seems permanently so), a lot of street noises filters in, and the pool area closes at the rather nebulous time of “dusk.” Some loud repairs going on in the room next door one day. But the pool area, even with the odd hours, was lovely, as was the covered patio on the other side. Staff was terrific. "

"Loved our short stay here. Paid for late checkout, enjoyed the beach then a great Mexican dinner next door. Today enjoyed the pool before we left. Loved it!!!"

"We chose this property for the amenities available. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had come here previously for our 10th. We loved it then so were excited to come back and enjoy the updated accommodations. However, after arriving we found things to be the opposite. The property was clean but catered much more to weddings and private parties than their guests. The tiki bar on the beach closed early due to weddings two of our three days there. On our third and final day, the pool closed at 1:00 due to a private party. On top of that, we asked for fresh towels for our room and never received them. We had to go down and get them ourselves. One of the elevators broke down and never was fixed. My husband was harassed by the valet when we got our car about why we were not eating anywhere there when we had to go to a business dinner out of town. Unfortunately, because of our experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone."

"My room style was overbooked and I was originally moved to another of the sister sites which I was not happy with due to having other friends coming to Tranquilo, but they eventually upgraded our room so that we could stay together. The room was generally clean, just a little sandy on the floor. The air condition units in each of the separate bedrooms/ living room were run by separate remotes. We couldn’t find some of them. I requested at the front desk that they at least turn the temp down and they came immediately. Room had plenty of towels and fresh ones were brought each day. Each of the pools were clean.. Overall not a bad place to stay near the beach."

"Stayed for a quick girls weekend and the property beautiful with a friendly/welcoming staff. The location was great as we had lots of great food options within walkable distance. However, our floor was under construction/ maintenance so it wasn't the cleanest. We were at the end of the hallway and in the corners you can see an accumulation of dust/dirt. The shower was surprisingly small for the size of the bathroom and didn't have a seal on the door so at the end of your shower you would be stepping on a wet mat. Also, by 10/10:30am there were not enough umbrellas on the beach or anywhere to lay down by the pool except for the cabanas. "

"Beach service not good ,long coffee lines in the morning, elevators so slow I recommend lower floor so you can walk and get exercise at the same time "
