Hotel Fujita Fukui

"This hotel is about a ten minute walk from Fukui station. It does seem to be an older hotel, but it looks like it has been lovingly taken care of. They are incredibly generous with their offerings to try and enhance their guests experience. There is a shampoo/conditioner/body soap bar where you can get a little plastic container to bring one of the items you want to try up to your room. There is also already shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, and a toothbrush and toothpaste set per person. If you should need anything else, they do also have an amenity bar with the shampoo bar. Includes things like, mouth wash, hair oil, hand lotion, washing towel, etc...The pillows are a bit flat, but I did see what looked like a pillow bar in the reception area where you could choose a pillow that fits your tastes. (I just folded my pillow). If you are traveling with a friend like I was and a bit shy about using the bathroom, there is a bathroom on the first floor. It is older and you do have to technically step outside to get to them, but they are an option. Also the park next to the hotel has really nice bathrooms. There is also a little convenience store near the reception desk as well. Reception wasn't super friendly, but that might just be because they were shy about using English. Which is fine. I wasn't there to make best friends, just to get my room key. They were still professional. Overall, I would still stay here again if in the area."

"Enjoyable stay in a good location. Breakfast at the hotel was presented beautifully, it is a full Japanese style breakfast though, oysters are a bit hard to have first thing in the morning but there servings are generous and there's always variety."
