"Really neat old hotel with a lot of history. The spa area was really nice and rooms were clean. There wasn’t much interaction with staff. There were people staying there just didn’t seem like the service was the priority. On our second morning it was really odd they couldn’t seat us for breakfast at 7:45 and we had to wait. This made us late for our driver to leave for the day. Overall it was just ok."
"We loved this hotel. Right next to the station initially its new and staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. We got the side of Mt. Fuji. Due to the weather, we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji but if we could it would be excellent. We would use this hotel again."
"This was an amazing stay. The room was immaculate and clean. All amenities were in perfect working order. The food was top tier. The bus stop was right next to the building. I highly recommend checking it out if you plan on visiting Hakone."

"The staff was very helpful calling taxis for us. The hotel was busy, and my floor was loud. Some families allowing children to run the halls and people having full, loud conversations in the hallways at night. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji. I had a Mt. Fuji view room, but with a roller coaster in the view. I was not expecting that. Still nice to see Mt. Fuji upon waking."
"The private outdoor onsen was great . But the rooms were kind of old and some of the closets were stuffed with irrelevant things that look dirty. Some of the staff were not attentive or not capable."

"We had a wonderful time at HaoStay. The space was ample in the Watermelon house, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is a walk from the train station but you can get picked up and dropped off. We enjoyed not being right by the train station. Staff were very friendly."
