The location of the hotel is good in the sense that it is a short walk from the train station and the old town. Lots of homeless and drug use between hotel and train station. The rooms were clean and suitable for a short stay. No A/C made the nights a little warm. The breakfast was impressive.
This Hilton was absolutely exceptional, from the rooms to the amenities to the staff. I took advantage of the breakfasts, the bar, the dinner offerings, and the fitness center.
The buffet breakfast offered just about anything you can think of, all of it fresh and delicious. And dinner was wonderful as well.
The fitness center has everything you could need, and it’s clean and bright.
Most importantly, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, kind, and professional.
I will say that the hotel is located at the edge of a very sketchy area, but it’s kind of right where the area switches to safe. Don’t be discouraged… the hotel is wonderful, and they’ll take good care of you.
The hotel itself was quite nice. Nice rooms and good facilities. A couple of surrounding streets are better to be avoided (homeless people, drunks, sex shows). It is very close to the central train station which was very convenient.
i was here for 4 days for work so wasn't in the room a lot. the bed was comfortable and the walk-in shower was nice. it was a good walkable area with restaurants and bars nearby. we even walked to the train station on the last day which was close.
Once you get over the fact that the area round the main station is pretty awful, this hotel is comfortable, safe and well-situated. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room (Superior King) was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent.
Stayed for four nights.Room was a pretty good size for a European hotel and was very clean. They don't clean unless asked, but did so promptly when requested. Reception was very friendly and quite helpful. Did not eat at the hotel, but dinner prices on menu looked reasonable. The area between the hotel and main train station was a bit sketchy, but the hotel seems to be on the edge of a very professional / business neighborhood in the other direction. We walked around at night, and the area had quite a few pedestrians. We just kept our wits about us, as we do in any large city.
Hilton Garden Inn is always the best choice in places we have never visited. I can count on them to be in safe areas. The staff are always courteous and available to help. Restaurants are elegant with menus choices for all.
