"The Placemakr is well situated right off Broadway. Our room was a spacious studio suite with a balcony on the 19th floor overlooking Broadway. Check-in was fine, the staff was not super engaging and apparently we were to receive complimentary drinks daily and it was not mentioned upon arrival. Pool area was also nice. We did appreciate the security of the property as well. If we return, we would consider this property again. If you park in the garage next to the DGX, beware of how narrow it is- a large SUV or truck would have difficulty maneuvering the spaces and exit. "

"Well. First, Expedia customers always get the worst rooms at any property - the management always hates third party booking sites - but this was exceptionally bad. They put us right in the corner facing the freeway. It was loud and ugly. The place was not crowded or exceptionally full - they could have given us a room facing inward towards the pool or facing the property next door - but nope we were right on the really loud and dirty freeway. The Pool was filled with bugs floating on the surface. I grabbed the cleaning net and scooped out a ton of them - but still, they need to maintain it way better. There are also smoking areas basically surrounding the pool so it was hard to enjoy the pool without sitting in cigarette smoke the whole time. The room was basic, nothing noteworthy really. Although they are doing renovations it looks like so most of the breezeways were filled with room furniture and that included mattresses which they covered with sheets but they clearly intended on putting them back into the rooms. There was also drywall and plaster on the walkways which got tracked everywhere. It is, however, relatively walkable to Broadway and the Gulch - since that was what we were here for it worked for that purpose. But overall it was not worth the price."

"We had a 2 night stay at the Omni. Upon arrival, the staff was attentive and the lobby was beautiful. We were able to check in early with no problems. Our room was good -- it had a funky smell but we acclimated. Our room was a bit run down. The toilet flusher was broked, the handle to get into the shower was broken, and there was a lot of grout missing on the shower floor. These were small issues that didn't interupt our stay but just felt like lack of care. The ammenities - 2 restaurants, 1 coffee shop, and the lobby bar were great. Good options and appropriately priced. The hotel is very close to the downtown scene, easy walking to everything of course rather loud at night but the tv offered a "white noise" channel so that was helpful with blocking out the bar close street noise. Overall, I would stay at the Omni again."

"Good location in gulch area, well lite parking. Nice pool area, small gym, and breakfast had good selections with Omelet bar. Staff was nice and rooms where clean would suggestion better blackout curtains especially with the spot lights in the parking lot "
