"The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It is also close to all of the touristy sites. The elevators were very, very slow and breakfast was quite busy. One morning, although there were 3 coffee machines and a barrista stand, none of them were working. Only regular coffee was available. "

The only people that speak good English was the reception. Breakfast was good for me but there’s no English breakfast for my British husband. "Firstly, I was booking non smoking room but it was smoking smell in the room while I checked room 1218, although I have double check with the staff before checking in. I talked about the issue to the front desk then asking me to move to 1607 ( non smoking room) on the second day. I have spent time to move this 1607 by myself. Finally, this room was ok. Secondly, regarding swimming pool, they asked the guest to purchase their swimming cap to swimming, guest cannot swimming without swimming cap. But no any notice to let us know while we booked the room regarding swimming cap. It was unreasonable request to the guest. We already spent decent money for staying this hotel, their services value must match their fees. Plus, the swimming pool is a third party operating not belongs pan pacific hotel Beijing. If we know this before, we would not book this kind of hotel. Should be clearly to the agreement otherwise will be deem breach agreement.Overall, the stay for this time was ok only. I hope that they can apologize for this unexpected experience. Thank you!"

"The hotel itself was generally as expected. Our room did not have a rainforest shower that appears to be missing as there was a toggle to switch between the regular shower head and rainforest shower. The clean up each day varied in effort which wasn’t great. Got extra pillows when asked for it so that’s good. The best thing about the hotel is its proximity to stuff like the palace museum and Tiananmen Square. Also close to Wangfujing st."

"Lovely location, very close to the 8 and 1 train lines and a decent amount of bus stops just to the left of the main entrance. Theres two 7/11's a two minute walk away in either direction aswell as the main wangfujing shopping street. The hotel rooms themselves are large and comfortable though slightly outdated (though it wasn't an issue) - the bathroom tub and shower showed their age the most but the water pressure was good. One thing to note is if you have two king rooms (I was travelling with my mother) you won't be able to have a connecting room, you'll be a room apart as they only do a connecting with a king and two singles."
