"I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada."

"If you can afford any other hotel please for the love of god stay there. I would rather stay at the Bates Motel instead of this tish hole. After a long hard day working at Harewood House food festival we arrived to check in at 8pm to be told we had to pay to park in the hotel car park (like they didn’t charge enough for the crap room to cover the cost of this and they certainly don’t put that money to the upkeep of the hotel) We have stayed in many hotels but this by far is the worst. "The decor was dated but okay. The room a good size, dated but sufficient. However I was not impressed with the room servicing, it had something on the floor that was left there and the shampoo bottle I used was left there as I had left it not replenished either. The bed was not made properly. I understood that there will be less facility due to three star status but did expect better room attendance. I ate in the restaurant and was disappointed.
