"The hotel didn't appear able (or perhaps willing) to cope with the number of guests they had and as a result the customer service was very poor. Firstly, the concierge was reticent to provide a concierge service; thanks for the advice to just google stuff myself. The pool was dirty (kids were writing in the dirt around the pool edge) and towels were poorly stocked. Whatever the hotel's approach to managing the breakfast service is; it doesn't work. "The room was clean but very small, so keep that in mind if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. The bathroom could use better maintenance, as there was visible mold in the shower grout. One important thing to know is that there is no elevator. I was only informed a few days before my trip, and I think this should be clearly disclosed on the Expedia listing. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, so I can’t really comment on the service. Overall, it’s a good choice for the location...

"The hotel is in an excellent location. There are numerous restaurants close by and also close to all main attractions. Hotel and rooms were very clean with an excellent air conditioning (a little noisy though). The only downside was the thin walls of the rooms. You could hear the guests of other rooms through the walls. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Excelsior!! The hotel was very close to the train station and the staff were especially welcoming and friendly!! The room was beautifully maintained and clean, and we even had a small balcony that allowed us to enjoy the warm air of the French Riviera!!"

"This hotel had the Perfect location for seeing Nice and being close to shopping, restaurants, beach and the train. We loved our stay. The concierge was super helpful !
