"Good location, easy to find just off the M5 with a bus stop nearby for regular buses into the centre of Exeter - we went into the city for dinner. Friendly and knowledgeable staff on reception. The hotel is fairly new and is very clean with fresh and airy decoration. The room was spacious, but very hot. The AC didn't really seem to do a lot. "Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to."

"I had a lovely stay here for a few nights while solo traveling. The room was beautiful, and the property was fantastic. The only small drawback for me was I’m not sure if the AC worked in my room, and as an American, I need that cool air. Fortunately for me, it was cool outside and I was able to open the window enough making my stay comfortable. I had dinner at the pub, and that was lovely as well.
