"Gare 55 is amazing. It is situated in a renovated train station and the facilities are absolutely top notch. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There is a kitchen that we were able to use and there are prepared meals available in the freezer. We are looking for a reason to revisit the area as we would love to stay at Gare 55 again."

"Room amenities were not 4 star. No USB ports, no kettle, warm fridge, safe that didn't open, bedside wall light front plate fell off, no instructions on how to operate anything, no information about breakfast/dinner menus, bed sheets do not fit the bed. Room was clean, bathroom was very nice, hairdryer included. Staff pleasant and mostly helpful. Restaurant did not make a good impression at dinner. Slow service, wrong order after long wait followed by another long wait for the correct...

"This is a very convenient hotel to overnight on the way to the ferry ports to UK. It is about 100m from the E40 although there was no noise from the road. The room was large, very smart, air con and has tea and coffee facilities. The restaurant and bars were attractive but we took the opportunity of driving into Brugge. Check in staff were lovely. There is a local town with pubs and shops, and Brugge is just 8 Km away. The parking at -'t Zand Underground Garage is excellent plentiful, 5 mins...

"Leider gab es montags kein Frühstück und ein Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer wäre toll. Leider gab es in unserem Zimmer keinerlei Duschabtrennung sodass man schauen musste nicht alles im Bad nass zu machen. Ansonsten SUPER sauber egal wohin man schaut. Das Fenster konnte man öffnen aber es gab auch eine Klimaanlage. Sowohl das Zimmer als auch das Hotel allgemein sind sehr schön eingerichtet! Das Bett war sehr bequem, ein Smart TV gab es auch. "Wir, 2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder (15 & 11) hatten eine Suite mit zwei Doppelbetten. Alles war sehr sauber, die Betten sind sehr bequem. Das Frühstück in sehr schönen Räumlichkeiten hat uns gut gefallen. Einzig meine Kontaktaufnahme vor unserem Aufenthalt zu den Parkmöglichkeiten hat nicht geklappt. Wir konnten aber einfach auf das Gelände fahren und die Parkgebühren bezahlen. Wenn wir wieder in Gent sind, kommen wir gerne wieder!"

"Tout était parfait, chambre très grande et agréable. Petit déjeuner très diversifié et de qualité. Service de location de vélos pratique pour se rendre dans le centre ville de Gand en 20 mn avec des pistes cyclables le long de cours d'eau : très agréable. Le seul problème : toutes les bornes de recharge électrique étaient en panne !"

"Hotel is ideally located near main squares and other primary attractions. Meticulously clean interior within an older building with much of the original charm still present. Beds and linens were fantastic, and room was super quiet. We didn't do breakfast or restaurant on this stay, but we did enjoy their spacious and beautiful bar area that had multiple adjacent seating areas with tall ceilings and classical decor. Brenton was our bartender and he was excellent. Would come back to this place...

"Staff was great. The hotel had the vibe of going back in time which was cool. The property is older and in need of some updating. Our sink and tub didn’t drain properly and some persistent sewer odor was bothersome. The economy room was very small for two people to maneuver in. Breakfast was ample. The location was great—a bit away from tourist areas which was nice."
