"Our stay as very good. The staff was very friendly, and for the most part, very helpful. The bartenders were quick to serve you and most of the drinks were solid. There were a few instances where the servers didn't execute on requests--cooking the steak to customer preference, forgetting drink orders, delivering alcoholic beverages when virgin was requested. "The resort was over all nice only issue we had was the day we needed to leave to the airport to depart the transportation to bring us down took an hour to come get us and almost made us late for our flight. The resort is up a hill and no walking is permitted for safety. So you are forced to wait. We called the office several times to get picked up and the phone would just ring and then they would answer and tell us to wait outside so we waited outside of our room for one hour before being picked...

"We were looking for a clean place to stay while venturing out to explore the Guanacaste region including several national parks and many beaches, so this met our needs. The room was clean, air conditioned and had a kitchenette which was a pleasant surprise. If we were looking an all-inclusive resort type of stay, it would have been a colossal failure. "The Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo was incredible and truly exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautifully maintained, with breathtaking scenery at every turn.
