"The lift was broken so the service lift was the only option. However the landing areas were 'behind the scenes' and poor quality. I did not much care for the long black hairs stuck to the walls of the shower from a previous guest. Clearly not a good cleaning regime. The shower has my pet hate. The shower controls are behind the door. You can't use them without being inside it and it is too small to avoid getting the inevitable blast of cold water that is living in the pipes before whatever the previous selected temperature lands on you. The breakfast was very good -freshly cooked and delivered on a plate. Not the usual buffet."

"Location was amazing, you wouldn’t believe you were in a built up area. Plenty of parking. Although at the moment works are being carried out and there is a large drop off the main tarmac road onto gravel where you park . We nearly ripped the spoiler off our car. Hopefully this though will be rectified shortly. We did inform the receptionist about this matter. Rooms were lovely, need to look at wardrobe as hangers are too big for the space. Bathroom overall was good apart from new waste bin needed as the lid was dented and damaged. toilet roll holder loose. Minor things but did not take away from a lovely stay and weekend. We would definitely return."

"Booked an executive room. On first impressions it looked good but then you notice where it hasn’t been well maintained or cared for. The most worrying thing was the brown slightly orange stains on the bed cover in two places. I can only hope they were scorch marks from ironing. Bath had marks and chips, no power points near the bed for phone etc. Staff were all helpful and pleasant but despite that I wouldn’t stay again unless rooms have had a facelift. "

"Room was satisfactory. The hotel is located in a motorway services area. On arrival was charged extra to park in the services car park as the hotel does not have a private car park. Purchased breakfast for two adults however this is a voucher that has to be redeemed in the services building next door to the hotel and at a particular concession. Breakfast options were limited at the vendor, so beware! Extra parking charge and poor breakfast would put me off booking here again."

"The staff were very friendly but, the hotel was very tired. The reception area was quite nice when you walk in, then the hallways were very dingey. The wall paper was coming away from the wall in my room, the curtains were heavy single curtains which couldn't really be opened properly. There were just 2 single electrical sockets in this day and age isn't enough really, cables hanging loosely from the television it felt like a hostel. The outside was not very welcoming, everything was very scruffy, not maintained, not inviting at all. There was an Indian restaurant with a bar with limited drinks and which closed quite early too. I will not be staying again unfortunately as it was situated in a decent place."
