"Good points: Plenty of parking, Large rooms, Linen and towels provided, free toiletries. The cleaner was lovely and super helpful. Blackout curtains in rooms. Bad points: Facilities are NOT as advertised. No restaurant or bar, No WiFi, Not all rooms have TV & No pillow menu. Only 2 members of staff were helpful, No housekeeping during stay, decoration is very dated. Main reception is not manned 24hours and difficult to contact anyone on the emergency numbers. Windows dont open wide enough...

It was like an oven so politely declined. We were offered an upgrade, but was asked if we were willing to pay the difference ourselves. "We had an amazing stay, gorgeous shepherds huts in a lovely location. So nice to have the pub nearby! We stayed during the heatwave and our hut was particularly hot, the staff were so nice to prepare another more shaded hut for us for our second night, we really appreciated the gesture! "For the price we paid the hotel was absolutely fine. Lovely leisure facilities, nice biscuits with the tea and coffee tray. Lift’s available. Bar and restaurant and food were good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Sadly it’s all a bit tired. Cracks in plaster around the building, dark decor just in need of TLC but as I said before, this was reflected in a very good price. I would definitely book here again."

"We had a lovely weekend at The Red Lion. The staff were incredibly helpful both ahead of and during our stay, and the pub food and breakfasts were very tasty. Our room felt a little dated and in need of maintenance in places, especially in the bathroom, but it served its purpose for our stay and we would be happy to go again."
