"Stayed here before a university move in. I got a complimentary upgrade in room so that I could be near the second rom so had robe and slippers for spa. Comfortable spacious room. Spa very nice but in the morning steam room broken and jacuzzi cold. Gym big with lots of equipment Breakfast excellent. Parking cheaper if you book in advance. Easy walk into town"

"The hotel is very well located for visiting the old city centre on foot, and is a 20 minute walk from the train station. My room was large, clean and quiet. It had A/C (though I didn’t really need it) and a mini-fridge. I took the English breakfast option, which was a good choice as there are not many breakfast cafes nearby. My one quibble was with the bathroom, which had a shower in the tub with a glass door which leaked water on the floor. Hotel offered a late checkout option of 1 pm (vs 12...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this beautiful boutique hotel. We booked the room overlooking the Cathedral which was stunning. The room was really large and immaculately designed. The gentleman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. The walk was no more than 10 minutes to the centre. We were so impressed with this hotel and Durham we would definitely come back."
