Lovely quiet bed and breakfast. African theme decor. Rooms large and well laid out. Air conditioning in my room was not working on the hottest and most humid night. No alternative was offered. No discount or refund. Unable to use the WiFi the signal was very weak... as I was only there one night i did not bother to follow up any further.

Staff extremely courteous and helpful. Nice location net restaurants, stores, and gas station. Only ding is that the WiFi was not strong in our room. The staff tried to rectify the situation but to no avail.

So helpful

Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and considerate as we were able to check in early and needed to have our luggage held so we could leave late. Gorgeous African decorations filled the house. Short walk to a great Indian restaurant.

Extra Towels in the Durban Heat is a Hygiene Issue

It was a hot day and I asked for an extra set of towels on arrival because I intended to wash before sleeping; and was politely told to use my allocated one set of bath and hand towels. During this heatwave bathing at night and morning is my normal routine at home; and I always use a clean set of towels. Thankfully I drove down the road to purchase an extra set. In the middle of the power went off and was restored in the morning. I will not be visiting this establishment ever again!

It was a short stay,only the Christmas weekend but it was very nice. The decor of the guesthouse is so on point. The owners are extremely friendly and genuinely concerned about their guests' comfort. We will definitely recommend them to anyone!

Excellent at less than any hotel chain

This was for a one night stay and if you are on business and want a quiet, relaxing place to stay, this is it. At the price, I will most certainly stay there again as the comfort, cleanliness and overall experience was far superior to any of the hotel chains that I have stayed at for double the price.

Very friendly and warm owners

We stayed at the African Regent for 2 nights for a business trip. The place is tastefully decorated and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owners were fantastic and made the stay worthwhile. Breakfast was great as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great B&B in a nice area North of Durban

Africa Regent is a lovely B&B in an extremely beautiful house in the North area of Durban, which is both nice and safe. We came by car and it is also possible to park your car safely next to the house inside the fence. The room was very spacious and extremely comfortable and the B&B has furthermore got a nice pool and a bar area. Only regret was that we only had 1 night in this beautiful place so not enough time to enjoy the facilities fully.
