"Good peaceful location next to St Peters Canal "swing bridge", a beautiful view of Bras d'Or Lake. Good dinner atmosphere with local artists performing in dining room four nights a week. A little old and worn in appearance, but comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the guest laundry (washer) was not working the entire time we stayed here."

"Clean. Beautiful views. Nice accommodations. We hope to return at some point."

"What more can you really expect from a basic motel? After a long, tiring trip, all you really want is a place to rest your head. The bed was perfectly fine. You can park right in front of your room, which is convenient, and it serves its purpose for a quick, overnight stop where you just need a place to sleep."

"We enjoyed the simplicity of the lodge, and the manager was so friendly and helpful, and the owners 2 dogs terrific!"
