"Great place to stay and eat. Perfect way to start the WHW"

"This is a little gem! Convenient to all of our excursions . The bed was heaven! Great pillows! A fan was provided. Bathrooms were clean with good smelling products. I like that our room had a separate toilet room from shower room. There were plenty of places to store luggage, clothes, etc. They provide earplugs in case it gets too loud downstairs, but we didn’t really need them. "It is convenient to park your car at this inn. Highland Gate is not the inn but the the restaurant. The Highland Gate restaurant and Marton's Inn are in two separate buildings. The inn's outside apearance and inside conditions are quite mediocre: carpet in the hallway looks dirty at every entrance to the room; there is no rack or shelve for suitcases though the room size is decent; the bathroom has a peculiar smell (not stinky but unpleasant to me), and the double bed (made of two single beds)...
