"Talbot House is an experience. The common areas (living room, dining room) invite exploration, The English garden is quite beautiful. The continental breakfast was good. The bedrooms are attractive and comfortable, each equipped with a sink. There is one bathroom per floor and it is shared by all staying on that floor."

"Parking is right outside the property which is located a short walk into the town centre where there are a number of restaurants. The property, our room and the host were all excellent. Fabienne booked a restaurant for us which she also recommended - food and service were great at a reasonable price. Our room, including an amazing en-suite, was delightful and our breakfast - well worth the 15 euro charge - was fantastic. Can not recommend highly enough."

"The property itself, the grounds, bar and restaurant are stunning but unfortunately let down hugely by the rooms in the Chateau. Admittedly I did opt for one of the rooms on the lower priced end of the scale but didn’t expect the room to be unclean, just not as well appointed and modern. However the walls were stained, carpet was bare, edges of the room were thick with dust and dirt, the shower tray floor tiles were stained and black around the drain and I couldn’t bring myself to sit on the...

"We were made to feel very welcome by the family. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and everything we needed. The en-suite was a room in itself, very well equipped; the shower was easy to use and accessible. Much appreciated too was the non-slip mat. Plenty of parking and for those with EVs, there is cheap 50kW charging 3km away at Planet Aire. We hope to return. We enjoyed the 3-course home-cooked dinner and the continental breakfast with eggs, cold meat, yogurt and more,...

"Staff friendly and helpful. Their English was better than my French but they let me try. Room clean and comfortable. Tasty evening meal at the hotel, other eating options available nearby. Free public parking directly opposite."
