"This is an excellent hotel in the heart of Cairo on the Nile. As a traveller, you broadly have two options… (1) Stay at Mena House in Giza which is probably the best option if you can afford it. (2) Stay on one of the Nile hotels in the city.
If you pick (2) this makes a lot of sense. Excellent facilities, next to Tahir Square. Rooms large with amazing Nile views. Superb gym and health club. Pool and bar next to Nile.
Restaurants could probably be better - they look a bit tired and menus a bit boring.
Location is a good launchpad to go to airport, Giza pyramids and museum, Tahir Sq, Citadel and Sakara. Even Suez or Alexandria is possible.
But overall, this is good value for a very high quality hotel in a prime location."
