"Pros: location Cons: AC not working. Minimal amenities. No complimentary water or even tissues. Some rooms don’t have TV or chairs so make sure you check the type of room. Thankfully they were able to offer a room in another nearby hotel which I appreciated."

"Not a fan of the fee for early check in, staff was kinda rude everytime I spoke to them, cafe closed early even though it was like a food restaurant as well so not really accessible, vending machine inside was SO expensive & hotel located in not the greatest area to go out in at night. Other than my room was nice, clean, calm and quiet which I enjoyed and it had clean halls etc. Though I never got room service the whole 4 nights I was there."

"It was in a great location for central London, clean and had all the basics, staff were friendly, free cheese and wine ...... 3 negatives though .....first the glass panels bathroom ....not nice if sharing with someone, very embarrassing. Second , we paid extra for a window, window was frosted glass and behind the headboard so couldnt see out of it. 3rd room was very very small, had to crawl over the person I was sharing with to get in bed !"

"A perfect location, near St Pancras and access to Eurostar etc. lots of public transport options. Very walkable area, really lovely. Restaurants, parks, museums nearby, including a good spot for breakfast right on the corner. Room was very nice, and enough room to unpack and move around. I'd stay here again. Love the whole area. Staff very pleasant."

"This is a budget priced hotel just steps from Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Rd tube station. Check in was 3pm but my daughter and I arrived round 1pm and for £20 were able to avail of early check in and get into our room. Check in was fast and automated with a staff member on hand who printed our key cards for us. Room was on the small side but perfect for what we needed as we were really only in it to sleep in it. Basic but clean, great dressing table/mirror area, TV, hairdryer and safe. The room had good AC which was great as it was very warm during our visit. Bathroom again was small but clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. Our only niggle was how long to get and to use the lifts, they are very busy and often stop at nearly every floor, we were on floor 10 so if you are pressed for time allow an extra 10 mins to get one and get down to reception. Any staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. All in all for the price this is a great, centrally located, excellent option for a basic budget stay in London, however if you want extras like toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities then other hotels which will cost more are available and may be more suitable for you. We were very happy with our stay and will use STG again."
