"The hotel is a lot older than the pictures suggest, but in comparison to other hotels we saw on the street, this was clean, comfortable and secure. It is also just down the road from the belen markets. They are currently doing renovations so it is a bit noisy during the day."

Chakana HotelCusco
6.8 out of 10, (5 reviews)
"The room was fine -- small, but clean. On the downside the bed was hard, and there was a fair amount of noise. There is no air conditioning or heater -- but the weather was moderate.
The hotel is within close walking distance to the city center. But on the much bigger plus side, is that on both days my Expedia booked tour companies let me down, but the caring staff at Chankana Hotel (Hostel) went above and beyond to help salvage my entire trip!
The second day of my trip the Chankana staff...

The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful area while still being close to restaurants, shops, and the more lively parts of Lima. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and convenience. Afma Nueva Alta
Afma Nueva AltaCusco Historic Center
10/10 Excellent
The hotel is beautuful with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very nice with fresh juices and fruit. It was very quiet during the night. The location was great, 5-10 minutes walk to san pedro market, St Francis square and market and the main square. I couldn't fault this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Cusco
