"Host is awesome. The house decor is unique and interesting to see the things collected on the host's travels. Breakfast was delicious. The only negative experience was the size of the bed. We booked the room that advertised a king sized bed, and it wasnt a king. It was two double mattresses pushed together. The drawback of this was my feet dangled off the bed all night long. I have a king at home and was hoping to achieve the same level of comfort. Other than that, everything was wonderful. "

Uninhabitable: 30°C Rooms, Hotel-Wide AC Failure, and Phantom Management I checked into the Wyndham Gatineau-Ottawa at 9:30 PM on May 19, 2026, only to be casually informed upon arrival that the entire building's HVAC system had failed. I was handed the keys to a room sitting at an entirely unacceptable 30°C, with sealed, unopenable windows. Given the late hour and lack of alternative accommodations, we had no choice but to accept a cheap fan and endure a suffocating, sleepless...

"Location can’t be beat, iconic and majestic views. Very fairly priced per night, however, logistically valet is a nightmare, takes forever to get car parked and retrieved, and service is truly lacking. Made a reservation for Zoe’s for lunch and table took 20 minutes to be ready, only for it to be for afternoon tea even though I explicitly stated we were there for regular lunch, and then the lunch itself took well over an hour to get served, with the waiter asking if I wanted it to be discounted...

"Nous sommes arrivés et il n'y avait plus de stationnement sur place. En ligne, nous ne pouvions pas réserver une place de stationnement. Le personnel de l'hôtel est resté très froid face à nos doléances. Nous n'avons reçu aucune excuse, ça avait l'air d'être normal de nous dire de nous débrouiller à trouver un autre stationnement. Il faut croire que la courtoisie et le bon service ne font pas partis de leur compétence. On s'est fait proposer un stationnement à aire ouverte qui n'avait pas l'air...

"Les Suites was a great location and suitable for families!! My husband and I came for the marathon weekend and the hotel was very accommodating. Although they didn’t allow for a late check out, they offered to hold our luggage and even provided a room for us to shower afterwards. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back!"
