"Originally, I found this little gem while I was searching for accommodation around the Port Townsend area with two beds (two friends traveling, not a couple). "Beautiful historical hotel, the rooms were comfortable, the bed too and we liked the vintage style fridge. Because this is a historical building the walls are very thin and you can hear everything! I'd give it a higher rating but the thin walls were an annoyance. Also, no AC in the unit."

I recommend this place for a quick visit, otherwise you’d feel cramped with two people. The common area didn’t feel inviting, just two desks and a kitchen with no seating area. "This is set up as an extended stay Larger frig, pot/pans, dishes, etc. Bring a hairdryer- It was quiet.no grocery in walking distance, but there is a convenience store downstairs . They did ask me to take out my own trash?? Seldom a front desk agent. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Phinneywood Basement Hideaway. We slept very well. The property was easy to access and the rental was well equipped with kitchen items for cooking at home, and had plenty of bathroom accessories (towels & toilet paper). It was well lit at night and best of all, it was very affordable for our six-day stay. We hope to be back!"
