"Koyasan was the highlight of our Japan experience. The place we got for overnight temple stay at Ekoin temple was beautiful. Dinner was large and amazing (I am not a vegetarian but the food was delicious). Our room was a junior suite with our own bath and garden. I would not have it any other way. I wish I stayed longer than one night. Remember that this is a stay at a temple. Although one gets very nice experience, I would urge any tourists to not treat this as some hotel. "Just know that the futons are only about 10cm deep so not super comfy if used to sleeping on a bed. Room was clean but the carpet on the hallway to the bathroom was really stained. The staff was super kind. Convenient to walk around the little town and the mausoleum."

"レストランの２階にある５部屋続きのワンフロアを１日１組（最大１０名）に提供すると言う少々変則的なホテルです。 オーナーは茶道の師匠で、奥の院に毎日献茶をされているとのことです。オーナーを含め、スタッフの皆様共に気配り、サービスが良いです。 小生は、一人で宿泊しましたが、ツインの部屋に＋和室が、襖で区切ることにより、４室作れるので、５人以上での宿泊に適していると思います。"

"Bella struttura comoda vicino al centro. Si dorme in una struttura accanto al tempio. Il tempio chiude le porte alle 17.00. Bisogna arrivare prima altrimenti si rimane fuori. Cena alle 17.30 in una grande stanza insiemi agli altri ospiti. La mattina alle 6.30 la preghiera e subito dopo verso le 7.30 la cilazione. Bel posto per rilassarsi. Al check in ci ha assistito una signora gentile che ci ha spiegato tutto e sapeva anche qualche parola in italiano. Buona cena e colazione."

"We sliepen hier na een dagje Koyasan. Wat een bijzondere locatie was dit, je slaapt echt op het station! De check in was met een code die je van te voren krijgt, dat was ook gemakelijk. De kamer was schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien."

"Stale old place that doesn’t live up. Breakfast consisted of persimmon-hushing from a store tossed at the table the night before. Cold water and a tiny toilet only. The onsen „experience“ was a 20 min drive away, how relaxing is that. Needless to say, I did not stay at this dump. I booked a hotel close by for the same price, it was excellent and delivered an amazing breakfast too, besides having an in-House onsen"
