"The property was absolutely beautiful, room was divine. The only thing was there was noooo staff when we arrived at 7pm and didn’t see any in the morning either when we left at 10! I don’t mind a self check in but without the heads up it was extreme. Another guest had to let us in. We did not know our exact room so we literally got on their computer and found the booking ourselves and found the key. It went smoothly considering the circumstances but I can see how it could have gone...

"The place was very modern and nice. They let us check in 2 hours early which was much appreciated. We liked having the robes. Not sure what the extra $22 charge was for. There was easy parking and it is located right in the heart of downtown. Given the high price, the breakfast seemed a little meager. The trash can was overflowing at breakfast."

"I am 6’4”. I used to travel 120 nights a year all over. This was the smallest room(including cruise cabins) I have ever been in. I would have complained but I was in one and of my favorite towns and just went with it. The tv was on the left wall to a forward facing bed and it was so uncomfortable trying to watch I turned it off and played on my phone. I checked and my bathroom and wife’s closet are bigger than the room. Buyer beware and all but that room was ridiculous and uncomfortable. And...

"Room 230 was a nice and quiet clean room. The only negative about the stay, was the body wash dispenser in the walk in shower did not work. "

"If you’re staying here, it’s strictly for the location. Check in was easy and done through an app. It’s very quiet, but the AC wasn’t working very well. We woke up sweating even though it was set at 61 degrees. There are no amenities, no ice machine or water refill station. They didn’t include the Wi-Fi password in the information sheet. It’s hard to watch TV from where it’s mounted. I wouldn’t stay here again."

"Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain."

"A very nice three star hotel within easy walking distance of main street Blowing Rock. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and gave me some excellent restaurant recommendations as well as a nice tip about a hiking-running trail to some beautiful waterfalls. Beds were comfortable. The property was very quiet with a nice outdoor seating area with tables and fire pits."

"If you're looking for the Waldorf Astoria, this ain't it! Still I give it high marks and look forward to returning. The room was comfortable and practical. We had everything we needed. The price was reasonable - especially for "pet friendly" and the hosts, Sam and Mita, made us feel like we were staying with family. This area was hit hard by Hurricane Helene and a few items still need a little "tightning up" such as pot holes at the hotel entrance, but the massive efforts on post hurricane...

"Property was closer to the road and other buildings than expected although it is nice enough inside. The bathroom was large and lovely in the suite. However, the amenities and staff were sub par, especially given thepl premium price tag. The wi Fi didn’t work, the staff interrupted to check it but never actually fixed it, the plumbing stopped up and when you try to access staff, you just find a note on the lobby door that says be back soon. The phone in the room didn’t work and was reported but...

"The property was nice. There were no onsite food options, or even coffee. There was not desk to work at. This hotel is not for the business traveler. It would be a great place to vacation and relax. It has a kitchen, small stove and fridge so you could fend for yourself. The area is beautiful but the roads leading to it have a lot of switchbacks."
