"The historic flagship hotel in Taiwan. Magnificient, traditional Chinese architecture. Rooms in the main building have panoramic city view. Excellent service and several restaurants offering a variety of dining options, including an unbelievable buffet. The spacious ground floor lobby is truly splendid but gets crowded when tour busses come in with visitors from mostly Asian countries."

"We had a fantastic stay at MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei, especially families. The location is unbeatable—just seconds from the MRT station, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. We loved being able to sightsee in the morning, return to the hotel for an afternoon break with our kids, and head back out refreshed. The hotel itself is beautiful, with elegant Japanese-inspired aesthetics throughout the property. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We especially appreciated the lounge area with complimentary coffee and water, as well as the gender-separated public baths, which were a wonderful way to relax after a day of exploring. (Just note that the baths are closed daily from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.) The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and always willing to help. We were traveling with two young children and a baby, and the hotel kindly provided a baby bathtub and crib, which made our stay so much easier. Our kids absolutely loved the hotel and were genuinely sad to leave at the end of our trip! Between the convenient location, beautiful facilities, family-friendly amenities, and outstanding service, we can't wait to come back on our next visit to Taipei."

"I appreciated that there is a laundry inside the premises. Be warned though. It is only available for use from 10 am to 9 pm i think. Worse case scenario you can go outside. There is a 24 hour laundrymat about 3 blocks away. This place is convenient in how close it is with public transportation. My only complaint is that the wifi seems to throttle at night. It gets faster after midnight though. The bathroom and room is very clean. AC works great"

"This is definitely an older hotel but mostly well-maintained and clean. "Superior" room: If you care about seeing some age on furniture, smears on a side table that can't be cleaned away - you might not be into this hotel. However, the "Superior" room was incredibly spacious with a huge bathroom (bathtub, shower and toilet in sep corners) and my favorite random feature was the closet that opened up from the room entrance side as well as the bathroom side. Common areas: Although it was rare to see anyone in the common areas except for at breakfast, the lobby is huge and common areas are plentiful for hanging out. Location: Can't be beat. 5 minutes walking to Dihua St, about 10 minutes to Beimen MRT Station. Zhongshan is also a straight shot 10-12 minute walk."
