We absolutely loved our stay at the Steadings! Was a random find on hotels.com and we’re so glad we found it! Really good price for the time of year (December) - we booked in May (roughly).
It was decorated for Christmas, and had everything we needed. A rare find but total treat! Would definitely come back and recommend! The only negatives would be the hottub not being covered - this is due to be rectified! And the road down to the lodge is very bumpy - a typical farm road! Make sure you follow the instructions for travel and NOT sat nav (like we did…)
Sharon was so helpful and on hand for any questions we had. And if you fancy a meal out - the Kettlebridge Inn food is fantastic!
Kirsty had made exceptional efforts to inform us in advance of the steps taken to safeguard guests against the Covid19 virus. Upon arrival we were greeted at a social distance and pointed in the direction of our accommodation and facilities. Everything was clean with sanitiser whidely available.
The room was bright and airy, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The lounge is provided with crockery and utensils, a fridge and tea nad coffee making facilities and has a lounge area with TV which are ideal for a relaxing stay.
As a host Kirsty is brilliant, providing halp and advice but not being in the least bit intrusive.
A great stay in a lovely environment.
We had a wonderful experience at the Steadings. Kristy our host had the energy of three people and went out of her way to make stay memorable. Her home is lovely and her breakfast fantastic. The Steadings has a very remote feel to it but is just minutes to Falkland which is a must trip! Kristy spent a lot of time with us recommending drops along our way. She was an absolute delight to be with and we cant wait to return next year.
My husband and I chose this location because it was near St. Andrews and a highland games festival. We made an excellent choice. The owner, Kristy, was super amazing and contacted us several times to make sure she was prepared for our arrival and to assist us with finding the location. The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. We will definitely be recommend this property to people heading to Scotland. Additionally, the recommendations that were given to us by Kristy were so helpful when traveling around the country and gave us great things to do and see. My husband really appreciated the Whiskey recommendations.
The most wonderful experience of a lifetime - this was like amazing - so lovely and the comforts of home. An outstanding breakfast - the best of Scotland. Kirsty could not have done more to help us get the most out of our stay in Cupar. Met some other wonderful guests and enjoyed every minute. Can highly recommend this to anyone.
