"Off the main road which was good. We thought it was a nice, pleasant place to stay within a short drive of Chester. I would recommend this place to friends visiting the area. We were just a couple that stayed for a week whilst building work was completed on our house and found it competitively priced so if you are a group of 4 then it would represent even better value. "The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too. However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "

"I have stayed at The Pied Bull twice in the last year when visiting from the US. I stayed in 2 different rooms, a twin and then a double, both in the main building. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The pros are location, being convenient to everything that Chester has to offer including sightseeing, shops and places to eat. The price is also reasonable for being in the city center. The cons are no parking on site, although there are many options within a 10 minute walk from the property....

"We just spent one night in Chester to visit the rows which is a reputation of the city. The hotel itself a bit far from downtown which takes about 20 minutes by walk. The room is a bit small with no view. There is no an elevator and the stairs is quite narrow. Pros are good breakfast, free car parking, and big bed. "
