"A contemporary, newly built hotel that does indeed give California beach vibes. The hotel is tastefully decorated and has a wonderful spacious pool area. Make sure to get a room with a terrace, though note ground floor rooms will have no view as they’re blocked by a wall of shrubs. Breakfast is decent, lots of fresh fruit and juices. Seems a family focused hotel, lots of strollers and small kids!"

"Quinta das Lágrimas has such an important and interesting place in Portuguese history, which we enjoyed learning about during our stay. The old house and surrounding gardens are beautiful and romantic, even in the winter.
