"Expedia messed up by saying this was available when it wasn't--yikes! However, the gracious host, Stefan, went above and beyond by setting me up with a neighbor for the night and showed me a great local restaurant, Pacific Seafood, which was out of this world, then made a phenomenal breakfast in the morning!
While many hosts may have said they're sorry, it's Expedia's fault, which it was. However, at Antemo Lodge, Stefan stepped up and solved the problem by ensuring I was cared for.

"I had the perfect stay at Surfo house in tamarindo! I was very comfortable I even extended my stay. The areas are clean, the kitchen has everything you need, the store is conveniently located just downstairs, the beach is just 3 minutes walking distance, close to all restaurants, shops, even the bus station is right there. "Owner was amazing. I had a delayed flight and they checked up on me and even gave me a ride from a nearby hotel as I was having a hard time getting Uber rides within Pinilla. Internet was strong and I was able to work remotely without issues during my meetings. The room is comfy and the property is just excellent. "Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and the breakfast was perfect. It's close to several restaurants, bars, cafes, and a grocery store. The beach and the main strip in Tamarindo are about a 10-15 min walk but we liked this as it kept it very quiet in the room. We stayed for 5 days without a car and did not feel we needed one.
Felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, which was a nice surprise. Definitely recommend

Les deux seules lacunes sont le manque d'insonorisation entre les unités et l'eau chaude manquante.
