"Beautiful and comfortable home. The listing was a little incomplete so it was unclear exactly what we were getting but pleasantly surprised. One very confusing experience is they never mentioned an actual couple lives on-site and are the hosts. They came by when we got there and were very kind and accommodating. It just would have been helpful to know they would be there. The listing said it was entirely self check-in. "

"The Hidden Gem flat in Alfama was perfect for us. Small, but not cramped, bright and airy, and exceptionally clean. The bonus was a washing machine. It was walkable to most areas and surrounded by lovely restaurants and Fado clubs. We had a few communication glitches, but all was resolved by check-in time. I would definitely recommend the Hidden Gem in Alfama to family and friends."

"Both the plusses and the minuses were strong. Plusses: it was very large, it was light, it was new/renovated/modern. It was near restaurants and entertainments and the river. Minuses: There were gnats, it was cold, communication was difficult, broken items lent an uncared-for atmosphere. "
