The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The only downside is the noise from the cars in the street, which is excepted considering the location.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and the staff. The location is extremely strategic and convenient — everything you need is just a short walk away.
Right next to the hotel there is one of the most popular restaurants in the area, offering tasty and fresh food. Please note that you may need to wait around 30 minutes for a table, as it is very busy.
The hotel has an elevator, and the room was nice, clean, and spacious. Housekeeping was done daily.
We would definitely stay here again.
This is my second stay in the hotel. It's in the great location, close to all amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Room is very clean. I can recommend this hotel to anybody, who is looking for a good hotel for a good price.
The people in this hotel are super nice and Maryam was very helpful and polite to me I’ll never forget her kindness.
So glad that I chose castello Hotel.
The hotel is in a good área, front desk very polite and professional, they try to answer all your question, the price for the room are great, you may get a nice surprise with a room upgrade
The property is in the middle of everything and still tucked away in a quarter area.Elevator in very good condition and services are offered in a nice way
Really nice hotel! Super good location and the staff is super kind also! I totally recommend it! At first look it’s hard to find the hotel because it’s a floor on a shared building! But afterwards it’s easy to understand everything. Good renovation inside the rooms
Our stay at the hotel was fantastic! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to answer our questions and provide great recommendations. The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by plenty of nice restaurants and attractions, including the Cairo Museum, conveniently nearby. A special thanks to Mohamed Mousa for his outstanding assistance—he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We also appreciated how thoughtfully they took care of our belongings while we stepped out for shopping—highly recommended!
Room was good . However, there were some issues with the toilet taps which were rectified. Staff was very welcoming and courteous.
Breakfast could have been lot better
It’s first time for me in Cairo, had bad experience with some hotels. But luckily end up found this hotel. Great hotel, friendly staff especially Mariam and uncle Jumaah, very clean and brilliant location.✅✅ To avoid any overbooking issue, make your payment in advance through any app.

The guy at the counter was exceptional. He is a bald guy but did not remember his name. Too good a service by him.

Good enough.
Actually when i went to Cairo, I didn't care about the luxury of hotels. But it wasn't a summer vacation obviously. I would just mind my time in places. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. But the rooms are exceptionally small. Of course i am told there are bigger rooms. But mine was really small. There is enough place to move around and take shower. And when i went there they couldn't see my reservation. But interestingly the personel didn't want to see my payment information. He just took my word. Infact the personnel tried hard not to see my payment infos. That was interesting. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. I only have 1 breakfast there and it was good. I can't say perfect time but not bad also.
What a great stay. The building itself is older with older type elevator but nice reminds me of something out of an old movie. Once you get to the hotel floor all is modern. The room was smaller than expected (the picture on the web in Expedia is much bigger) it was good for us, but if you are looking for larger that’s not this hotel. The staff is WONDERFUL. Always ready to assist, always smiling even though they may not speak English they would try to assist in any way they can. The manager was outstanding he helped us book a Nile cruise & tours from Cairo to Alexandria to Aswan. I cannot say enough about this trip and how comfortable the staff made us feel.
The staff are all wonderful: they go out of their way to ensure that you have a great stay (for example, they will walk with you to get a falafel sandwich so that you don't get lost and/or meet your driver to make sure that your check-in is seamless because the entrance is not evident!). My room was clean and very functional. The only downside was that there weren't many towels (but I'm sure if you asked for more, they'd provide them for you!). The breakfast was "simple" and served with a smile! The location is also central to many "downtown" activities/attractions, and there are plenty of restaurants/shops nearby that one can walk to. They also offer day trips (e.g., Alexandria, desert, pyramids) that are very affordable (I booked their day trip to Sakkara/Memphis/Dahshur and was happy with my tour).
Surprisingly Decent for the Price - Clean and Gets the Job Done!
Okay, let's be real, this isn't the Ritz. You're not going to find fancy chandeliers or a mint on your pillow. But for the price I paid, I was actually pleasantly surprised by this hotel. My main concerns were cleanliness and a decent night's sleep, and on those fronts, this place delivered.
The room wasn't huge or particularly stylish, but it was noticeably clean. The sheets looked fresh, the bathroom was scrubbed (no mysterious hairs or grime!), and there wasn't that lingering musty smell you sometimes get in budget hotels. That was a huge plus for me.
The check-in was straightforward and quick, no lengthy delays or rude staff. The person at the front desk was polite and efficient, which is all you can really ask for.
The amenities were basic, but functional. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the air conditioning worked, and there was a TV. What more do you really need for a budget stay?
Look, if you're expecting luxury, this isn't your place. But if you're looking for a clean, no-frills hotel that won't break the bank, then this is a solid option. It's a good value for the money, and I appreciated that they clearly prioritize cleanliness, which is often overlooked in this price range. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I needed a budget-friendly option in the area. It's not fancy, but it's clean and gets the job done without emptying your wallet.
