"We stayed for one night, also having dinner and breakfast. The room was lovely and clean, the dinner and breakfast were both freshly cooked and delicious. It was great to see the bar /restaurant buzzing with locals and others staying there. Staff were really helpful. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay and located well for exploring. "

"Room was top of hotel overlooking a crumbling slated roof but it was the cheapest option and loud seagulls every morning sitting on the roof. The room was adaquate but bathroom only had tiled floor so shower went everywhere. Staff were good and polite and helpful, breakfast was fine and hot but also minimal varied selection. Parking was atrocious, with only 6 spaces ? at £10 per night because street parking was normally nose to tail, and full for 24 hours. Because I have a blue badge I parked on...

"Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to."

"Great for a nights stay in the heart of Exeter. Clean, tidy, on site parking for £10 a night (car can stay until 2pm) Very old building so bit of a maze but that’s part of its charm. No AC so would be hot in summer."

"Had one evening meal. The food quality was good, no complaints with that. Only had continental breakfast, usual toast, cereal, fruit juice, Croissants, etc That was all fine. Cooked breakfast options were available for extra charge. Bedrooms and showers need some attention. Small issues. Moved rooms after first nights sleep as mattress was very poor. Much better sleep in different room second night. Shower water power in first room was okay but second room was lacking. Usual amount of...
