The free breakfast was great with very good coffee! Room was roomy, didn't know we were one floor up the stairs, but the person helped with our luggage so it wasn't an issue for us. They do have ground floor rooms. We loved our stay here!

Zimmer, Essen und Service waren hervorragend! Die Lage in Buda ist sehr schön, die Fischerbastei in 5Min. zu Fuß erreichbar, sehr ruhig und mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel trotzdem super gut angebunden und erreichbar - auch nachts, falls man sich in Pest doch etwas länger aufhalten möchte. Beim nächsten Budapest Besuch würden wir das Hotel erneut buchen!!

Lovely boutique hotel in the pretty castle district. Great service, good size room in the courtyard with a fabulous shower. Good choice of food for breakfast which was delicious. Would totally recommend.

Fint boutiqhotel...ligger lite isolerat på kvällen...dock lätt att ta buss 16 till downtown. Dock kommer jag boka ett större hotel nästa gång i budapest. Boutiq hotel är alltid bara boutiqhotel. Frukosten var mycket bra....middagsmaten inget vidare men generellt är maten inget vidare i budapest.

Service was impecable. Staff treats you like royalty here and everything is in too too condition. Breakfast is out of this world including made to order meals and delicious lattes. Location was tough as it did take 20-30 minutes to get to the Prsr side and to many other destination. That’s the downside to being located within castle district I suppose

We stayed in Maison Bistro Hotel in November for 4 nights. It has been amazing from start to finish! We booked a grand suite which turned out fabulous. The bed was really comfortable and the two person jacuzzi was the icing on the cake We were greeted with a bottle of local Prosecco and cake. A really nice touch. The breakfast was delicious and the a la carte choice of hot dishes was excellent. My favourite was the Hungarian omelette. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Location wise it worked out really well for us. On a top of a hill right next to Buda castle and Fisherman’s bastion. There is a good choice of cafés and restaurants, even though it is very quiet at nighttime One thing to consider is the steep hill if you fancy waking to the Pest side. It didn’t bother us. However the bus no 16 literally passes by the hotel and goes very frequently Overall this small boutique hotel is an absolute gem and deserves the excellent rating.

Hyggeligt, lækkert og autentisk hotel
Super lækkert og hyggeligt hotel. Meget venligt og hjælpsom personale. Morgenmaden var mega lækker og man kunne tydeligt se og smage et der ikke er gået på kompromis med kvaliteten af råvarene. Kan varmt anbefale at prøve deres egg benedict. Ligger i et stille område på Buda-siden tæt på Matthias-kirken og Fisherman's Bastionen, hvor man har det smukkeste syn ud over Budapest. Specielt om aftenen hvor mange af de smukke bygninger er lyst op. Det er super nemt at komme fra hotellet og ind til centrum af Budapest, men tager blot bus16 fra holdestedet som kun ligger 100 meter fra hotellet. Bus16 kører helt ind til Deák Ferenc ter, hvor Metro 1,2 & 3 har fælles knudepunkt, så derfra kommer man nemt rundt. Vi rejste fra hotellet allerede kl. 6 om morgenen, så hotellet havde sørget for at lave en morgenmadpakke til os som vi tog med til lufthavnen. Super service må man sige.

Absolutely LOVED this hotel! We stayed 7 nights. Nice & quiet at night. Only drawback to this location is that wherever you go, it's uphill to get back and there are not many restaurant choices in the evenings.

What can I say? The reviews were all spot on. We absolutely loved our stay at the Maison Bistro & Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it. Our room was a Grand Double and it was a beautiful space to spend 3 days in. Spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with cool furniture and fittings. The bed and pillows were super comfy, the ensuite was great with powerful shower and L’Occitane toiletries. Breakfast was extremely good with plenty of buffet options and a choice of hot dish which was cooked and presented beautifully. Staff were in general lovely, friendly and helpful. The location in the Castle district was perfect for us. The Fisherman's Bastion close by was such a lovely place to stroll when the tourists had left in the evening. We walked everywhere - the Chain Bridge was approximately 20 minutes away - but the number 16 bus into the city went every 10 minutes.

Great hotel, some of the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Excellent food and coffee. Room was so nice and quiet. However. I wasn’t a fan of the room decor, I was in the “retro room” room 14. I would stay again but ask for a room with more relaxing decor.

The hotel is in a great location close to attractions, however it is located in a gated area because it is close to the president and prime minister’s residences and so every time you pass through the gate you will be charged 25 Euros unless you leave the car there in hotel vicinity and in this case you will pay 25 euros for every 24 hours. Overall it’s better not to have a car in budapest and only rent the car for days you would want to go outside of the city otherwise you will be struggling to find parking space in the city and there is a lot of traffic The breakfast at the hotel us wonderful. The chef they have is great. We had a wonderful time and we highly suggest this hotel.

Posizione al centro di Buda perfetta per muoversi. Il personale è gentilissimo e molto professionale. Colazione ottima. Stanza comoda anche se con qualche pecca come condizionatore un po' rumoroso e letto non comodissimo (gusti personali). Comunque consigliabile.

Die Unterkunft bei Maison Bistro & Hotel hat meine Erwartung und Anforderung für einen Kurzurlaub über alle Maßen übertroffen. Traumhaftes Ambiente, von der Zimmerdeko über das Hoteldesign bis zur Ortslage, bietet ein entspannendes Erlebnis für ein paar Tage. Die kulinarische Kunst und die lokalen Erzeugnisse intensivieren den Genuss vom Augenschein bis zur Zungenspitze. Nettes und kompetentes Serviceteam ist immer da, wo man Hilfe und Unterstützung braucht. Auch im Hochsaison ist der Preis äußerst wert für die Zeit, die man dabei verbringen dürfte. Ich werde sehr gerne wieder in Maison Bistro & Hotel bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Budapest übernachten.

I’m picky about hotel cleanliness and services. The services and staffs are by far the best I had. The rooms are small but super clean. The staffs are very considerate and try to put personal touch to their service. I loved staying there.

Was für ein tolles Hotel - besonders in der warmen Jahreszeit müssen der Innenhof und die Hof eine noch schönere Erweitung sein. Das Personal war freundlich, das Zimmer wunderschön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet - das Buffet zum Frühstück großzügig und die Lage mit dem 16er Bus nahe der Matthias Kirche - sehr pittoresk.
