"We received a very warm welcome from hosts Jackie and Rob and our stay was absolutely exceptional! Our room was clean, neat, well appointed, with a refreshments tray including lovely homemade cake and the folder containing menus and directions for the nearby pubs for meals was well thought out and presented. "Staff on reception very helpful. Secure parking was a welcome bonus. The room was spacious enough for one/couple. Tea/coffee in room. Shower gel.and soap supplied. Plenty of hanging space. Very warm and a fan was supplied. Bathroom was clean and large enough. Overall very good stay. Didn't have a breakfast so can't comment only, it smelled delicious."

"Entweder Man hat ein PKW oder fährt mit Uber oder Taxi. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind nicht gerade in der Nähe. Die Zimmer untern auf Etage 1 sind wie ein Labyrinth. Lange verwinkelte Flüren und könnte echt Spooky wirken. Mir wurde keine Angebot unterbreitet da ich früher einchecken wollte. Die Dame meinte es gäbe keine Zimmer mehr....was ich so stark bezweifle. Da war ganz wenig Menschenverkehr in dem Hotel. Sie dachte bestimmt ich wollte es umsonst und nicht gerade freundlich die alte Dame."

We expected quite simple / basic accommodation and were pleased to find it as anticipated - a small cabin like bedroom simply fitted out but completely adequate and spotlessly clean. We didn't arrive until just after 8pm but were cheerfully greeted by a very helpful Chris (despite him being towards the end of a busy day for him - when we arrived he was part of a small team clearing up after a wedding or birthday celebration of some size). "We had booked fir three nights, at a cost of over £250.00. We also booked a meal which was disappointing and with drinks cost over £60.00. It was not a good experience. There was no fan to aid ventilation in the room, bearing in mind that we have been in an extended heatwave, and the room was located in what would originally have been the attic and was extremely hot with only one window.
