"We chose a beach front room, parking was not free but booked knowing space was limited. The room (218) was stunning, beautifully appointed, clean roomy, nicely decorated with access to a lovely balcony. The staff were all great, very accommodating and we felt looked after incredibly well this was our second stay at this hotel, the previous time 11 years ago when we got engaged. "This has been on my bucket list for some time. We had a wounderful 2 night stay and everything was perfect. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, larger than alot of hotel rooms. You lay in bed at night and could imagine your travelling on a train. The meal was excellent, Beef Wellington to die for, so good and wonderful surroundings in a 1906 Pullman car exquisitely restored. The staff were brilliant and extremely helpful. Alot of history tied up in this place."

"The room was very clean. Wooden hard floors are a big plus. Mattress wasn’t the most comfortable as it was a spring mattress, and pillows were hard, but they were comfortable enough for a short stay. You can hear clearly the hallway and nearby rooms, so recommended to have ear plugs if you’re sensitive. "

"We enjoyed a 2 night stay in one of the newly refurbished bedrooms (Room 5). The room was furnished to a high standard with a modern bathroom and excellent walk-in shower.
