Breakfast is advertised as being available from 7. As we had a plane to catch we were keen to get it early. But hot food was not out until 7.15, fruit juice not until 7.20 and there was initially no bread to toast (just crumpets and muffins) and no butter. If breakfast is advertised from 7, everything should be available from 7, not 20 minutes later. very poor effort.
Check in and late bar staff were fab really helpful and welcoming! One lady was great really useful and helpful.
Spa was good would have been great to have robe to go to the spa in room as the whole towel
And lockers when your staying there was more than needed (if you had robe could just go and come back as you please)
Few things were needing fixing in the room but did mention then and hopefully they’ll be fixed soon (usbport/ bath plug winder)
Great hotel with very spacious and comfortable rooms and a huge reception and conference area if you need to work whilst there. Excellent location for a Glyndbourne trip. Very good value for money. Breakfast included and spa and gold onsite.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and as described. SPA facilities including our messages were lovely. The only thing that prevented us from scoring the hotel as good was our experience for dinner at the Hunnington Restaurant, where we had a reservation for dinner. With temperatures in the mid 30's Celsius, we were surprised to find the restaurant had zero air conditioning, meaning the room was like a furnace. On top of this the staff had opened the outside doors to let some air into the room, but all this accomplished was to allow large flies into the dining room instead, so much so that we were immediately put off from eating in the restaurant and considered cancelling our reservation. When I asked why there was no AC, the waitress apologised and advised that none had been fitted in the old part of the hotel complex where the restaurant was located. Because we had been seated near the window and given the number of flies that were being attracted to the windows, which included a number of dead flies on the carpet, we asked to be moved to another table away from the windows and closer to the entrance where it was shaded and didn't have any flies. The food and drink were good, but given the temperature in the room we could not face staying any longer for desert. Instead we walked over to the Pavilion restaurant in the new part of the complex which had AC where the staff accommodated us for desert only, which itself proved to be disappointing
Beautiful grounds, wonderful views, our suite was amazing, lobby stunning.
Bar food was not good, although, buffet breakfast was plentiful and good choice.
Our stay was unfortunately same time as a large contingency of all male golfers and the noise in the bar was unbearable both during our evening and breakfast. We would not have stayed this particular night had we known.
Large club room Great view over golf course with roomy balcony. Fab pool, and if you have an EV, easy parking and charging. Had a really good dinner with great service in the brassiere, though a bit quiet. Perfect!

Sort your WiFi. It’s super important when guests need to work.
Had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety and everything tasted fresh. The facilities were relaxing and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.
Lovely location, very friendly and helpful, from reception, restaurant room service / cleaning to getting an ext lead for my husband sleep machine customer service excellent.
Food too was great we had breakfasts and eve dinner we stayed Fri to Monday
Lovely hotel, swimming times are restricted for children. The service in the bar is quite slow (food service).
Lovely view, pool, nice spacious room, good breakfast.
East Sussex National offers a peaceful retreat in a quiet and peaceful location. We visited over the Easter Weekend with pleasant weather but there were no activities for children (egg hunting, etc.)
The rooms are clean, spacious and with good amenities (coffee and tea in the room). The gym is very good if you want to give it a go. The pool has great changing rooms along with a steam room and sauna.
The 2 restaurants have really good food with set menu, and they also have a kid’s menu which is really tasty and big portions. The staff are friendly and accommodating in most cases as for example at the restaurant. However, we had to talk to different staff to see if we could use the pool with our kids on Easter Monday as initially we were told that they are using a normal Monday schedule.
Overall positive experience.
Tips:
-You can ask for fresh milk (free of change) to be brought in the morning at your room
-There is no fridge in the club room but only in the suites
-The hotel is more for golf enthusiasts and not so much for families (not any children activities, and the pool can be used only on specific hours by kids)

Lovely family room, large enough for all our needs. The room was well presented although the rocking horse seemed unnecessary. As a decorative piece it was fine, but spoilt by the keep off sign. Room clean but the blinds were a bit tired. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of room and lots of choice. We will use the ESN again on a future visit.
Walls were a bit thin
Super comfort bed
Shower was amazing
Use of pool was lush
Great breakfast

Enjoyed our 1 night stay here (non golfers but didn’t feel we missed out). Facilities/amenities at the hotel are great - it is huge! Room was of a high quality. Staff were very good and especially friendly. All at a very competitive price.
The only slight thing (and didn’t effect our stay) was there are areas which could do with a little tlc as they are starting to look a little tired (one example is the balcony area of our room).
Hot tub had too much chlorine in was burning mine and my partners eyes so we had to get out. Other than that the hotel was clean and up to good standards.
