"We loved our stay here! Clean and had a great sleep. Brilliant price for somewhere to stay close to York. Carpark was a little full and some bad parking meant it was a space down, but not the owners fault. Highly recommend for an affordable cute little getaway! Would definitely return"

"The apartment had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
It was very clean and well maintained.
The only slight problem was the shower was very slow to drain away and at one point I was worried the water was going to go over the top of the shower tray. (But it didn't)
We didn't cook in the apartment but it had everything you would need if you choose to.
There was even a dishwasher and washing machine.
It was very to town and easy to find and easy to check in.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay...

"Really well placed for shops and pubs/restaurants etc., whilst still on a quiet enough residential street. After a very long journey in the heat really didn't want to get the car out again and was able to walk to the Tesco Express and back in less than ten minutes. Check-in and communication with host was great - we phoned twice and the call was answered immediately both times. We were put into a different house on arrival to what we'd expected but this was no problem and probably better than...

"Lovely place to stay. Was just the two of us. We would say 2nd bedroom is suitable for children rather than infants or adults, due to steep stairs, and layout of the room. Teenagers would love it I'd imagine.
Only thing that let it down slightly was the small seating area outside. Just needs a little TLC. A quick sweep out would have helped.
Other than that Masham and this property well worth visit, if maybe slightly over priced."

"Overall great. The property came in two levels which I wasn’t aware of or maybe I haven’t pay attention to the details when I booked the accommodation. The property is Very clean & welcoming, the only down side is the view from the property & the noise from the main road to the bedrooms. "Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "
