"My satnav struggled to find hotel. Parking on-site wasn't great. We arrive late (midnight), check-in was good! We were allocated Room 1. This is right next to Reception. We could hear tv/radio/talking so I quickly asked if we could be moved. Staff were great & switched us to Room 8. Beds are very soft - so ok if you like that. They are more like a "U" shape ehen you get in them. The emergency green lighting is very bright - didn't bother us but might be an issue to others. "

"Good parking and very clean property. However music from event hall was very loud until 11pm. Music carried on onto the 2nd floor about 3 am til about 5am. Awful night, none of us could sleep. No one yold us on check in that vreakfast was to be pre booked so imagine our surprise coming to breakfast with a child. Was a cery awful night with minimum sleep due to noise. "

"Tried to arrange everything in advance for a stay with my mum, who has mobility issues. Staff were very accomodating, however, everything was a little further away than they made it out to be. Which did cause some issues. Fine if you are a wheelchair user, but my mum uses crutches to get around. It was not that easy for her. Rooms are very basic, for the price and the attraction of "Horwood House". Be careful, the beds are on wheels, which surprised my mum, as she almost fell off. They are also pretty firm matresses, not the most comfortable night I've ever had. I also had a dripping noise all night in my room, that sounded like the buildings heating. The pool/spa was lovely though. Not many changing facilities, so queues happen often, but it was nice and modern and clean. Dinner at Harrys was excellent. Fresh, hot and delicious. Be aware the cocktails are very expensive though. Breakfast was a disappointment. Definitely not worth £20 per person. I know its geared up for wedding parties/conferences, but the quality was so bad and nothing was as warm as it should be. The staff however, are amazing. They were so accomdating, friendly and willing to go over and above. This ranges from reception, to the staff at Harrys, the Spa and 1911 for breakfast. The staff truly made the visit special, even if some of the other stuff was a disappointment."
