"Bar staff were not very helpful when checking in and left me waiting for the manager for 15 minutes and was ignoring me and non-responsive when I would ask what the delay is. Other than that the experience was fantastic, the room was lovely, the restaurant was lovely, can’t complain. Just the check in experience left a slight sour taste."

"My husband and I spent 2 nights at The Swan Inn. The staff were all fantastic and the food at the restaurant was great. Having a breakfast cooked to order included in the price was a nice surprise. The accommodation was good value and the bedroom, while small, was well designed. The shower was fabulous with lovely shampoo and soaps. Our only criticism was the bed and pillows. "Edwina was a welcoming host! Nothing was too much trouble! Made sure we always had what we need! Accommodating our American car! Fabulous fresh cooked breakfast! Room was lovely which was cleaned daily. The best shower pressure! Tea coffee, water and juice in the room. Great location, walking distance to Esher town centre and the Racetrack! Highly recommend Edwinas home!"

Convenient for transport to and from London with a pleasant bar and beer garden to relax in at the end of a busy day in the city. "Arrived to find no phone in the room, which would have been nice to arrange an important wake up call the following morning. Compounding the issue was that my Alexa alarm clock couldn’t be connected to WiFi for an important alarm the next morning owing to the way in which you connected to the hotel’s internet.staff didn’t have any solutions as to how to fix this and seemed nonplussed. "I stayed at the Mitre several times during my visit to England. Not only is the location amazing, opposite Hampton Court Palace, on the River Thames, and close to Bushey Park, but the staff are fabulous. They go above and beyond. Professional, kind, thoughtful, helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Ashley, Sabrina, Alina and Blaze - thank you. Good to know - Air conditioning units were being installed in some of the bedrooms as I left!!"

"We booked a wheelchair accessible room and we were not disappointed. Room was large, very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was extremely large and well fitted with hand rails, a low bath, and lots of emergency pull cords throughout. We were able to book a Blue Badge parking bay on the morning that we were due to arrive. The staff at breakfast were very helpful and attentive. We will definitely stay here again."
