"Welcoming, hard working and professional staff. W enjoyed a sea view room with a balcony. We were able to check in early and shown to the room. Local maps, guides and bus time tables were available. The bathroom was tiled top to toe and the shower excellent. This is a good pub with accommodation above and good pub food. "We enjoyed our three night stay at The Brunswick Hotel very much. We had two rooms for five of us. We particularly enjoyed the dining room with its beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was included and the choices were delicious. In the evening the Billiard Room was a comfortable place to have a drink and review the day. We also thought the Sunday Roast was outstanding. "On the whole defo 5*! Great location and views. Very friendly staff. Has Indoor swimming pool and we had Breakfast included. Has a bar / lounge area and a welcome feel. Will mention rooms and hotel are a bit dated and onsite parking but limited. But I don’t think they pretend to be a modern hotel. "

"Brilliant two nights at The Fig Tree Shanklin. Highly Recommend! First evening, after Dinner at The Steamer Inn down on the Shanklin Esplanade, we caught the lift back up from the Esplanade and walked to The Fig Tree to experience their Monday Open Mic Night which was good fun and we were given accompaniment instruments to join in the funas well as singing along. "We had a room with balcony and sea view which was excellent. Breakfast was very good, cooked items could sometimes have been a little better ( compared with previous visit in 2024), and the same goes for the dinner on a few occasions. But overall the standard is high. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. A lift would be helpful"
