"The hotel is lovely and quite unique. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the bar is OK. The location, right in the city centre is great although parking is very limited and expensive. The internal rooms i.e. those overlooking the internal courtyard are stuffy and hot, exacerbated in our case by the airco not working in our room during our stay."

"Stayed in this hotel last minute as we are too tired for the day trip so decide to add another day. Didn’t have toothbrush or charging with me. Asked the reception and they have them! Also I like how they have a self service nibble and drink lounge for free so I can fill up my water bottle whenever I need. Have hot water. Room temp water and a coffee machine free to use. Comes with some free croissant too."

"The staff were probably some of the best ever experienced, helpful, friendly and caring. The room was quite small, clean but not well designed, storage for clothing was just a very short rail, no drawer storage for clothing. The air-conditioning was not working, throughout the hotel, for the first two days, which made sleeping difficult, staff did provide a fan after complaint. Breakfast was the same every day but good and plentiful and definitely a plus as included. Unfortunately parking cannot be guaranteed but bookable alternatives not too far away."

"The hotel was in an excellent location and is an interesting concept. The room was well designed but the mattress was so-so. There was a strange odor in the hallway like glue. I would stay again hoping that these issues woyld be improved."

"We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a very disappointing experience. The staff was extremely unprofessional, and the room felt dirty and dusty throughout our stay. It was unpleasant even to take off our shoes and walk around the room in slippers. We also noticed bugs running around the room. Everything felt old, poorly maintained, and unclean. The hotel markets itself as a five-star property, but in our opinion it doesn’t come close to that standard. Our stay was very uncomfortable and left a very negative impression overall. Usually we do not write negative reviews but this time it was impossible not do it. Never recommend to anyone."

"Delightful stay with kind and attentive staff in an historic building. Only whinge (also mentioned elsewhere) is the automatic light that comes on in the night (as you tiptoe to the bathroom) and wakes your partner"
