"lovely, comfy rooms. quiet and cozy"

"Beautiful historic hotel. Lots of history. The dining room is gorgeous and the breakfast was really good. Rooms are small but that was expected. They are nicely decorated in the era of the building. There was a space type heater in the room which worked fine. Maybe the radiator doesn’t work anymore..Shower was strong and water was warm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had the added benefit of learning about the history of the building and the architect, Julia Morgan."

"The view from the balcony was great! The paths and nature preserves surrounding the hotel were great for morning walks and jogs. We also went bird watching along the marina. We went to a rock show at a very famous venue and it was a very nice walk across a multi-use trail, to a paved path to street that the venue is on. "

"Had stayed here years ago and the upgrades and remodels were definitely apparent. Good AC and comfortable beds. Could be a bit cleaner, but still an old property that provided great service from check-in to daily room attention. "
